Salary: $78,000 - 118,000 per year Requirements:

• Experience providing Level 2 or Level 3 desktop support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including routers, switches, wireless networking, and TCP/IP.
• Experience supporting Cisco networking equipment; Meraki experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting users in remote, industrial, manufacturing, energy, or field-based environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco, Microsoft, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Experience supporting remote facilities or industrial operations is preferred.
• Ability to walk over uneven terrain, climb ladders, reach overhead, route and secure cabling, and lift and carry equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces as needed.
• Ability to work independently at remote locations and safely follow company and site-specific safety procedures.

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 desk-side and remote technical support to end users by phone, email, and in person.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, peripherals, routers, switches, wireless equipment, and related infrastructure.
• Support Cisco networking equipment, with a primary focus on Meraki technologies.
• Deliver onsite IT support at remote oil field locations and drilling sites, often without onsite IT resources.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain network connectivity, including assisting with cabling and infrastructure upgrades.
• Administer user accounts, password resets, and access permissions.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and field service activities.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Coordinate with centralized IT teams while exercising independent judgment in the field.
• Work around industrial equipment and perform equipment installations and repairs in office and remote field environments.

We are seeking a self-sufficient Desk Side Support Specialist (Level 2–3) for a contract of at least six months supporting an oil and gas organization in Midland, Texas. The role combines work in a traditional office with assignments at remote industrial and energy production sites, where immediate onsite technical assistance may not be available. Field work may involve elevated work areas, cabling, confined spaces, and operating around industrial equipment.
