Job Description
The Production Engineering Technician works directly alongside the Production Engineering team to optimize manufacturing safety, quality, environmental compliance, and process efficiency. This role coordinates operations and technical initiatives across equipment, plant systems, and workflows to drive timely, safe, and cost-effective outcomes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced plant setting, collaborating cross-functionally with machine operators, supervisors, suppliers, contractors, and external vendors to troubleshoot systems, implement process improvements, and maintain peak operational performance.

Responsibilities
Production Support & System Reliability
- Partner with Production Engineers to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve operational issues across plant production systems.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
- Investigate customer and operational complaints to perform root-cause analyses and implement corrective/preventative actions (CAPA).
- Interface with plant supervisors, production operators, maintenance personnel, and third-party contractors/fabricators to coordinate repairs and equipment modifications.
- Collect, log, and analyze process data using statistical methods to identify trends, cycle bottlenecks, and yield loss.
- Implement process improvements that minimize waste, increase throughput, and advance plant-wide productivity goals.
- Initiate and drive Management of Change (MOC) documentation, ensuring operating procedures, standard operating instructions (SOPs), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) are updated accordingly.
Skills
- Mechanical Engineering (2 years of experience is preferred)
- Python
- leak testing (1 year of experience is preferred)
- GDP (2 years of experience is preferred)
- Basic Software Skills
