Job Description:
Furnace Superintendent, the most important attributes for success in the role are:
Leadership & People Management:
*Proven supervisory and leadership experience managing a workforce of approximately 150 employees.
*Ability to train, develop, and motivate employees
*Experience managing hourly workforces
*Capability to conduct performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary actions
*Ability to step into the Plant Manager role when needed
Operational Excellence:
*Deep manufacturing operations knowledge
*Ability to manage production, quality, and raw materials simultaneously
*Focus on productivity, cost control, and asset utilization
*Strong planning and scheduling capabilities
*Results-oriented execution of production goals
Problem Solving & Decision Making:
*Proven ability to diagnose and solve process issues

*Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
*Understanding of budgeting, labor management, and material controls
*Union experience is preferred
