Job Description
At Beaver Dam Partners, we think successful
community journalism is an engaging report – online and in print – that is read, enjoyed and trusted by pretty much everyone in town. We want our writing to
always be tight, bright, right and timely. Online and in print, our work needs
to demonstrate that we know our communities. We’re 16 years old and publish
four free community newspapers and related websites on the South Coast of
Massachusetts. Exactly how we do things is constantly evolving. We’re looking for smart,
energetic reporters and “writing editors” who enjoy embedding themselves in a
community. Knowing a community isn't an act; it's how we operate. The successful candidate will possess t op-notch writing skills, solid and constantly improving photo skills, boundless curiosity, comfort talking with all sorts of people, focused energy, and an ability to get things done quickly
and well. Journalism training and/or experience is valued but not
essential. Be ready to work hard, think a lot, and have some fun along the
way! All applicants must be willing to
relocate to our community. You can’t be local without being local! Interested? Please send a resume
and cover letter to anne@beaverdampartners.com .
